This Helphin guide will teach you how to install esoTalk on your cPanel Linux hosting server. This is very simple and easy guide for beginners.
Step 1: First go to esoTalk.org web page and click the Download link to download software package.

Step 2: Go to your download folder and extract the software package.
Step 3: Open your FTP software and log in your web hosting accounts. Here we are using Filezilla.
Nope: Here we are showing demo purpose only. So we create demo folder under public_html folder. If you want to host community web page then you will upload esoTalk files into the public_html folder.
Here we are upload esoTalk files into esoTalk folder under public_html/demo folder.
Step 4: First we create Database account for esotTalk. So log in your Hosting account.
Step 5: Choose web hosting tab and click Manage Button.
Step 6: Here click Manage button to enter cPanel dashboard.
Step 7: Go to Databases section and click MySQL Databases link.
Step 8: First create Database name. Here we choose our database name as esotalkdb* and click Create Database button.
(*= This is for example. choose your own name)
Step 9: Create Database username and password. Here we choose username as esotalkuser* and password.
(*= This is for Example. choose your own name and password)
Step 10: Now we add the user to specified database. So choose your esoTalk username and database name in drop down list. Now click Add button.
Step 11: Now click ALL PRIVILEGES check box in a top corner and click Make changes button to give full privileges to the user for esoTalk database.
Step 12: Now Open your browser and navigate your DOMAINNAME.COM in the address bar.
Note: If you upload your esoTalk files into a public_html folder then you can navigate your [domainname.com].
But we are upload esoTalk to demo/esotalk folder. So we navigate,
Enter your domain name and you can see the setup page of esoTalk.
Enter your site name in a first text field.
Enter database name, database username and password in another field.
After the database details, you can see administrator information. Here set your administrator name, password and admin mail id.
Finally, Click Install esoTalk button.
Step 13: If your information is correct, esoTalk is successfully installed on your hosting server.
Now you can see esoTalk Welcome message.
Step 14: This is the Dashboard of your esoTalk forum site. Here you can see the forum statistics and user activities.
Step 15: Forum settings have some basic options.
you can change your site name, site Language, choose/change the site logo and user registration method.
Step 16: Appearance option has site Theme/Skins and color.
You can change your theme and color.
Step 17: Channels option is used for categorized your conversation. In this option, you can create more channels and rearrange as your wish.
Step 18: In this administrator/user settings has very basic options. you can change your avatar and password.
Also, choose/change notification and privacy options.
