This helphin guide will teach you to how to install AdaptCMS on Linux hosting server. Especially for beginners.
Step 1 : Go to the AdaptCMS website. Download the ZIP file copy and extract the file.
Step 2: Now log in your GoDaddy my account. Click Manage button on Web Hosting in the list.
Step 3: In this page, click Manage button.
Step 4: First we create Database. So find the MySQL Databases link and click to open.
Step 5: choose and put your database name and click Create Database button.
Note 1: Now choose your Database username and password. Now click Create User button to create your database username and password.
This database username and password will work with Adaptcms. Make sure your password is strong and keep it in secret.
(Important: Here I am using the database name, username, and password is for example. Do not create like this. Someone easily hacks your MySQL Database.)
Note 2: Now we add particular database user to the specific database. Because here we set full database permission to the user. Choose the database username and database from the drop down list. Now click Add button. It will redirect to another page.
Step 7: Here click the ALL PRIVILEGES check box to give full permission like create, modify, delete table to the specified database user. Finally, click Make Changes button to finish this process.
Step 8: Now open FileZilla. Login your web account. Choose your AdaptCMS unzipped files. Select all the files and right click the mouse cursor. Finally, upload your extracted files to your public_html web directory.
(Note: Here I am installed the AdaptCMS on demo folder under the public_html directory for the demonstrate)
Step 9: Now open your browser. Type the following format in the address bar and press enter key.
If you copied the AdaptCMS into a public_html folder, then you can type www.yourdomain.com/install.
Or copied the AdaptCMS in subfolder/directory, you can type www.yourdomain.com/<subfolder name or directory name>/install and hit the enter button.
In this page, you can able to see the welcome page. This page can show the requirement of software compatibility.
Click the Install button on the bottom page to Start the installation process.
Step 10: Put your database details like database name, database username, and password. Click Continue button.
Step 11: In front of the page, you will see the success box when the given database information is correct. Now simply click Submit button.
Step 12: Again simply click the Continue.
Step 13: This is the page to create administration account to manage the whole site. Here you put admin username, password, mail id and two of security questions whatever you like. Finally, click Continue button.
Step 14: Congratulation! Successfully installed your AdaptCMS on your domain. This is page show you the Two links of the website. One is front end Home page, another one is Backend Administrator page.
Step 15: This is Home page of your AdaptCMS.
Step 16: This is login form for the User account.
Step 17: And this is the Back-end Administrator page. Here you can post articles, manage forum, users, and plugins… etc.
